Lip Filler St Albans

Modelling or even enlarging the lips with hyaluronic acid is a natural procedure.  Natural lip augmentation is suitable for most patients.  It enables patients to achieve the desired results in response to the lack of satisfaction with the shape of the lips, their structure or colour. Very often, unsatisfactory shape or structure of the lips are caused by a genetic condition.  We are then dealing with asymmetry or a small volume.  In aesthetic medicine, natural lip augmentation is possible and due to high quality products, not easy to recognise that it’s filled up with the filler.

How long do lip fillers last?

More and more clients are interested in lip augmentation.  How long does one treatment last for the effects to be still visible?  Usually, the results last about 12 months, but in many cases this time is extended up to 18 months.  It all depends on individual conditions, the rate of absorption of the preparation, age, lifestyle, and skin condition.  The results are visible immediately after the lip augmentation procedure, however, as we have already mentioned, hyaluronic acid can build up for 2 weeks after the procedure.  The duration of the procedure is usually from 30 to 40 minutes and is preceded by a consultation with aesthetician who assesses the condition of the skin and lips.  Immediately after the procedure, the lips may seem a bit too full – this is due to a slight swelling after the injection, which disappears after a few days.

Lip Filler Before & After

24 hours before the procedure, alcohol, coffee, and energy drinks must not be consumed.  Avoid taking anticoagulants (e.g., aspirin).  It is also worth taking vitamin C or a routine that seals the blood vessels 7 days before the procedure.

For 2-3 days after the treatment, you should avoid the sauna, swimming pool, solarium, sunbathing, cold or heat chambers and other places with large temperature fluctuations.  After the procedure, you should avoid drinking alcohol and smoking, as well as increased physical exertion – for about 3-7 days.
